Effective for Diets! Shirataki Noodle Rice!

This is a great way of preparing rice if you love rice, but are trying to lose weight. It goes great with rice leaving you completely satisfied and full! The rice grains and shirataki turn out shiny and chewy.

Ingredients: Makes 2 rice bowls

Uncooked white rice
2 rice cooker cups (360 ml)
Shirataki noodles
180 g


1. Start to dry out the shirataki noodles in a frying pan. Stir fry until you can no longer hear a popping noise. This will make the moisture evaporate thoroughly.
2. Finely chop the shirataki noodles. If you chop them up until they have the consistency of rice, when you put them in the rice, you won't be able to tell the difference!
3. Now back to cooking as usual. Fill a rice cooker with washed rice to the second line and then add in the shirataki. Once it's reached your desired firmness, add in water until it's ready.
4. Seat the rice cooker to cook the rice and once it's done, you can serve it up! It's shiny and chewy texture is wonderful!

I wanted to make something that would use shirataki noodles and go great with other dishes for anyone on a diet. Does this work for you? I added a bit more shirataki than people usually do to these sorts of diet dishes, but the end result doesn't taste strange at all. It's chewy and delicious!
