Fried Asparagus and Bacon

Fried Asparagus and Bacon

If you have asparagus and bacon, you can make this in 5 minutes. It's great as a side dish or a snack, and is tasty when chilled, so you can also put this in your bento.

Ingredients: 1-2 servings

1 bunch (6 stems)
50 g
1 clove
Olive oil
1 tablespoon
Black pepper
to taste
to taste


1. Prepare the asparagus.
2. Cut the bottom 1 cm off the stems and peel the bottom 10 cm.
3. Finely chop the garlic, then cut the asparagus into strips.
4. Finely slice the bacon.
5. Put olive oil in a pan and add the garlic. Turn on the heat.
6. When the garlic is aromatic, add the bacon and black pepper and fry.
7. When the bacon starts to wilt, add the asparagus. Fry until it turns a nice green colour, and season with salt.
8. All done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had some bacon, but didn't want to go to the trouble of making bacon-wrapped asparagus, so I made something which was easy and quick.
