Chilled Pasta with Avocado and Basil Sauce

You will never tire of this rich avocado and basil sauce perfected with a splash of ponzu.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Pasta (Your choice of thin strand pasta)
80-100 g
Tomato (1 medium or a handful of cherry tomatoes)
100 g
Canned tuna (small)
40 g (half a can)
Onion
30 g
Avocado
1/2
◆Store-bought basil sauce or Recipe ID: 919118
1.5 tablespoons or more
◆ Ponzu
1 tablespoon or less
◆ Soup stock granules
1/3 tesapoon
◆ Garlic (grated)
1/2-1 clove
★ Black pepper and salt
to taste

Steps

1. Boil a generous amount of water in a pot, add salt (not listed in ingredients) and boil pasta 1 minute longer than instructed on the package.
2. While the pasta is boiling, chop the tomato into bite-sized pieces and chop the avocado into small cubes. Mince the onion.
3. Combine the ingredients from Step 2 with the tuna and ◆ ingredients.
4. Drain the pasta and chill with chilled (ice) water and thoroughly drain. Toss with the ingredients from Step 3 and season with salt and pepper to taste.
5. Addendum I use a mild ponzu sauce. Gradually adjust the saltiness and acidity to taste.

Story Behind this Recipe

I love pasta with avocado and basil sauce, but over the years, since the flavor has gotten a bit overpowering, I've been adding lemon juice; But adding ponzu brought the flavors together and it was tasty The tartness of the tomatoes is also a perfect match.
