Take off the stem and the ends of the bell pepper and slice it into about 3 pieces.
Put the bell pepper and katakuriko in a plastic bag and shake it so the katakuriko will coat the bell pepper.
Stuff Step 2 into 4.
Fry the stuffed peppers facing up on an oiled frying pan.
Flip them over once they become browned and pour 100 ml of water and sake.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook.
Serve on a plate when it's cooked and add the ★ ingredients in the remaining water in the fry pan and keep heating.
When the sauce has boiled down slightly, pour it over the stuffed bell pepper and it's ready to eat.
Story Behind this Recipe
I wanted to make stuffed bell peppers.
I added an extra step, but it's easy to make. Divide the water into 2 parts: to steam and for the sauce. The sauce will thicken from the katakuriko coating on the peppers. Skim the scum a little if there are some at Step 9.
