Fluffy Tofu and Kinako Roasted Soy Flour Cake

All you need to do is add and mix the ingredients in order to make this fluffy, soft and easy cake. The fragrance of the kinako flour is so nice.

Ingredients: 1 cake, roughly 18.5 x 9 cm

Silken tofu
100 g
☆Cake flour
80 g
20 g
☆Baking powder
1 teaspoon
60 g
Melted butter
20 g


1. Sift the ☆ ingredients together. Mash the tofu into a paste with a whisk. Preheat the oven to 170℃.
2. Crack the eggs into a bowl. Add the sugar in 2 batches and mix well after each addition. Add the tofu and mix.
3. Add the melted butter and mix. Add the ☆ ingredients and mix with a rubber spatula until the flouriness is gone. Pour the batter into a baking pan and smooth out the surface.
4. Drop the pan from a height of 10 cm. Bake in the oven for 40 minutes. Check with a skewer and if it comes out clean, it's done. Remove from the pan and let it cool on a rack.
