Cut slits into the sides of the small dates. Cut the larger dates in half. If there are any pits, discard.
Stuff some cream cheese into the dates.
Cram the walnuts into the dates on top of the cream cheese and they're done!
Don't push too hard or the dates with tear!

These go great with white wine! I make them as an appetizer when hosting parties.
Dates are originally from the Middle East. They are very similar to dried Japanese persimmons. In England and Australia there is a sweet dessert that uses the excellent combination of dates and caramel called "Sticky Date Pudding."
