Brownie Style Doughnuts

I recommend chilling them in the fridge.

Ingredients: Makes 6 doughnuts with 7cm diameter doughnut mold

15 g
Pancake mix
100 g
1 egg
Pure cocoa powder
2 tablespoons
40 g
3 tablespoons
30 g
Vegetable oil
as needed


1. Prep the walnuts by crushing them into 5mm sized pieces by hand.
2. Put the chocolate and the butter in a large heatproof bowl, and heat in the microwave at 600w setting for about 1 minute to melt. Then mix with a whisk.
3. Add the pancake mix, egg, cocoa powder, sugar and milk and mix.
4. Add half of the walnuts and mix with a spatula.
5. Coat the doughnut molds with a little vegetable oil and then put the rest of the walnuts inside them.
6. Using a spoon, scoop the dough into the molds. Gently tap the molds against a counter to even out the surface.
7. Bake in a preheated oven at 170℃ for about 15 minutes.

I wanted to make a brownie style doughnut by adding walnuts to chocolate doughnuts, which children love.
