Our Family Recipe For Ginger Pork

Our Family Recipe For Ginger Pork

In our house, ginger pork means this! The pork is tender and really whets your appetite! Try it with some grated ginger on the side.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Pork shoulder or roast meat, for ginger pork
600 g (8 slices)
Flavoring ingredients:
Soy sauce
4 tablespoons
Sake (a no-salt added type)
2 tablespoons
2 tablespoon + 1/2 tablespoon
Mirin (a no-salt added type)
1 tablespoon
Freshly grated ginger
1 large piece

1. Mix all the flavoring ingredients (marinade) together and pour it into a flat container.
2. Make some cuts along the grain in the pork and cut notches into the sinews.
3. Marinate the meat for at least 30 minutes, making sure it's coated in the marinade.
4. Heat some oil in a frying pan, spread out the pork slices and cook.
5. Transfer the pork to serving plates and serve with your favorite vegetables on the side. It's even better if you serve it with some grated ginger.

Story Behind this Recipe

Whenever we want to eat meat, I make this juicy, soft dish that the children can easily eat too. The seasoning combines all the flavors I like. It's our family's original recipe! It's not that sweet.
