Fennel Butter with Fresh Fennel

This is herbed butter made with fennel.
(I call it fennel butter.)
You can store it in the freezer or refrigerator.

Ingredients: one 6.5 diameter ramekin

50 g
Fresh fennel (finely chopped)
2 tablespoons
Chives, parsley, or other fresh herbs
a small amount
1/2 clove


1. Cut the butter into 1 cm chunks, place in a small dish, and bring to room temperature to soften.
2. Wash the herbs and use a paper towel to dry. Finely chop the fennel and other herbs, then add to the butter.
3. Grate the garlic and add to Step 2.
4. Mix well. Transfer to a jar and store in the refrigerator. You can also store it in the freezer.

A single stick of fennel is bigger than I expected.
If you make it into herbed butter, you can use it all up with any other dish.
So, this is a great recipe when you don't want to waste anything.
