Salmon Meunière with Lemon Sauce

Salmon Meunière with Lemon Sauce

This is a variation on the usual salmon meuniere (pan fried salmon) with an easy to make, refreshing sauce.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Fish filets (I used salmon)
2 slices
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Garlic powder
a small amount
Plain flour
As needed
1 pat (about 15 g)
2 tablespoons
Lemon juice (I used bottled lemon juice)
1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
Soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon
Grated cheese
a small amount

1. Season the salmon with salt, pepper and garlic powder, and coat with flour.
2. Melt the butter in a frying pan, and pan fry the salmon.
3. Make the sauce. Mix the mayonnaise, sugar and soy sauce together. Add the lemon juice and some grated cheese, and mix well.
4. Arrange the salmon on serving plates, pour the sauce over it, and serve.
5. I used this bottled lemon juice.

Story Behind this Recipe

I varied the taste of pan fried salmon using lemon juice. You can make this sauce easily using ingredients you have in the refrigerator.
