Whet Your Appetite! Stir-Fried Kabocha Squash with Chinese-Seasoning

It'll whet your appetite with its rich flavor.
Try it sometime since kabocha squash is reasonably priced all year-round.

Ingredients: Serves 2 to 3

Kabocha squash
1/4 (about 250 g)
Pork (Pork belly or cut-end bits)
150 g
String beans
7 to 8
Salt and pepper
To taste
Ginger (finely grated)
1/2 teaspoon
Garlic (finely grated)
1/2 teaspoon
Sesame oil
1 tablespoon
☆ Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
☆ Oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
☆ Doubanjiang
1/2 teaspoon
☆ Sake
1 tablespoon
☆ Sugar
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Chop the pork into bite-sized pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Combine the ingredients marked with a ☆. Parboil the string beans and cut them into thirds.
2. Chop the kabocha squash into 4 to 5 cm length pieces, and then into 3 to 4 mm slices. Transfer to heat-resistant dish, wrap with saran wrap, and cook in microwave for 3 to 4 minutes at 600 W.
3. Heat sesame oil in a frying pan, add the garlic and ginger and stir fry until aromatic, then add pork.
4. Add the kabocha after the pork darkens, blend them together, then add and the ingredients marked with a ☆ and the string beans, toss and serve.
