An Easy Breakfast Rice Bowl: Wiener Sausage, Green Onion and Egg

You can make this easily in the morning - it's a perfect rice bowl for people just starting out living on their own. The springy sausage and the soft and creamy egg goes so well with rice. It'll get your appetite going.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Wiener sausages
2
Japanese leek (or green onion)
1/3 stalk (15 cm)
Eggs
1-2
Mentsuyu (2x concentrate)
30 ml (2 tablespoons)
Water
90 ml
Plain cooked rice
2 bowlfuls (480 g)

Steps

1. Slice the sausages and the leek or green onion on the diagonal. Beat the egg.
2. Put the mentsuyu sauce, water and cut up sausage and leek in a pan and simmer over medium heat.
3. When it comes to a boil, add the beaten egg from Step 1 and put on a lid.
4. When the egg is soft set, turn off the heat.
5. Put everything on top of rice together with some of the sauce to finish.
