Easy Amazingly Delicious Rich Brownies

Easy Amazingly Delicious Rich Brownies

I tried recreating the brownies I fell in love with at an English market once!! Of all the brownie recipes I like, this one is my favorite.

Ingredients: 6 servings; a 15x12 pan full

Plain (black) chocolate
175 g
Butter (unsalted if you have it)
100 g
Instant coffee granules
1 teaspoon
Boiling water
1 tablespoon
1 large
110 g
Vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon
Flour (self-raising flour if you have it)
35 g
Nuts, chocolate chips, etc., optional
100 g or so

1. Put the chocolate and butter in a pan, and melt over low heat. When it's all melted, take it off the heat and leave to cool. Preheat the oven to 190 °C.
2. Dissolve the instant coffee in hot water, and put a bowl with the egg, sugar, and vanilla essence. Mix with a whisk.
3. Add the chocolate-butter mixture from Step 1, and mix in well.
4. Add the flour, and fold it in using a spoon or spatula.
5. Pour the batter into a parchment paper lined pan.
6. You can mix chocolate chips or nuts etc. into the batter, or sprinkle them on top. I like to mix in half and sprinkle on the other half.
7. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 190 °C!
8. Leave to cool in the pan, cut into squares, and these rich brownies are done.
10. Try this as a party cake.
11. These are great as gifts too.

Story Behind this Recipe

The brownies sold at a weekend market in England were so amazingly delicious. Of all the brownie recipes in my repertoire, this is my favorite. If you have a large brownie pan, double the recipe and bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
