Simmered Sweet Potatoes

It looks like "Daigaku Imo" Potatoes, but the taste is definitely sweet potatoes.
It can be made very quickly!


Sweet potato
250 g
50 ml (3 heaping tablespoons) ~100ml (1/2 cup)
3 tablespoons
About 10 g
Vanilla extract
2-3 drops
1/3 tablespoon (1 teaspoon)


1. Roughly chop the potatoes and soak in water and drain. Put the ingredients marked ★ into a frying pan and heat.
2. When the butter melts, put in the potatoes. Simmer the potatoes in medium heat while shaking the pan from time to time. Flip over when the potatoes become translucent.
3. When the liquid is almost completely boiled down, turn the heat to low and add the remaining ingredients. Shake the pan until the potatoes are completely coated.
4. If you can't wait to eat it while it's hot, that's okay! But if you wait a bit, the flavor soaks in and it looks better, too. Even when cooled, the butter won't get clumpy.

I wanted to eat sweet potatoes, so I thought of an easy way to prepare them.
