Simple Lotus Root Salad

This is a lotus root salad. It's made with fried lotus root, giving it a delicious, warming sensation.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Lotus root (thinly sliced)
5 cm
Salt and pepper
to taste
Cake flour
as needed
Garlic oil
2 tablespoons (Recipe ID: 1721243)
Mixed leaves
1 bag
1 slice
★Olive oil
2 tablespoons
★Sushi vinegar
1 tablespoon (Recipe ID: 172519)
★Whole-grain mustard
1 teaspoon
★Salt & black pepper
a small amount


1. Slice the lotus root into 3 mm wide pieces, sprinkle on some salt and pepper, and thinly coat in flour. Wash and drain the vegetables. Combine the ingredients marked ★ to make the dressing.
2. Slice the bacon into 5mm widths. Thinly coat a frying pan with oil, and fry the bacon until browned. Remove the excess oil with a paper towel.
3. Pour the garlic oil into the frying pan. Fry the lotus root slices and then drain.
4. Put the mixed leaves in a serving bowl, add the bacon and lotus root, and pour on the dressing to finish.
