Everyone Loves This Tarako Udon

An udon noodle variation of tarako (salt-cured cod roe) pasta! This is a firm family favorite.

Ingredients: about 2 servings

Udon noodles
2 packs
Tarako (salt-cured cod or pollack roe)
70 g
Butter or margarine
1 tablespoon
Soy sauce
1/2 to 1 tablespoon
Daikon radish sprouts, shredded nori seaweed
as much as you like


1. Take the tarako out of the sac and break apart. Mix with the soy sauce and butter (or margarine) in a bowl. (There's no need to mix it very well.)
2. Cook the udon noodles.
3. Add the cooked noodles into the bowl from Step 1 and combine rapidly.
4. Add some radish sprouts and/or shredded nori seaweed to taste to finish.
