Italian Meatballs

You can eat these as an appetizer or toss into pasta sauce.

Ingredients

Beef
400 g
Sofrito (vegetable based)
40 g
Salt
6 g
Panko
40 g
Egg
1
Dried oregano
2 g
Black pepper
to taste
Red wine
70 g
Parmesan cheese
30 g
Plain flour
as needed
Vegetable oil
as needed
Canned tomatoes
400 g

Steps

1. Add the sofrito to the beef and combine.
2. Add the rest of the ingredients except the flour, vegetable oil, and tomato, to the meat and mix together.
3. Once mixed, cook a tiny amount to taste.
4. Roll into balls.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and cook the meatballs until browned on all sides as much as possible.
6. Transfer to a pot. Add the crushed canned tomatoes and slowly simmer to finish.
