Spicy Gochujang Pork Rice Bowl

Spicy Gochujang Pork Rice Bowl

I stir-fried pork with homemade gochujang and topped it over rice. The sweet and spicy taste with ginger goes well with rice.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Pork (sholder, loin, belly, etc)

2 teaspoons (Recipe ID: 1721192)
2 teaspoons
1 teaspoon
★Grated ginger
1 teaspoon

2 rice bowls' worth (300 g)

Green onion (or Japanese leek)
1 (about 8 cm)
*Eel sauce
Recipe ID: 623506

1. Marinate the meat with the ☆ ingredients and let sit for 15 minutes. Grate the ginger. Combine the ★ seasonings. Slice the green onion thinly.
2. Heat a frying pan and coat with oil. Open up the pork slices, then stir-fry. When finished cooking, pour in the ★ seasonings, and continue stir-frying over high heat.
3. Serve the plain cooked rice in a bowl, and drizzle the eel sauce. Lay the meat on top, sprinkle white sesame seeds and green onion. Squeeze mayonnaise and sprinkle shichimi spice if you like.
4. When you are using Japanese leek, stir-fry briefly at the end. If you add a lot of Japanese leek, you won't have enough eel sauce, so adjust the amount accordingly.
