Chirashi Sushi Caracter Cake

If you make this for Doll Festival or a birthday, the kids will love it. It's also a beautiful chirashi sushi for anyone with an egg allergy.

Ingredients: 18 cm round cake pan

Hot cooked rice
3 rice cooker cups (uncooked)
Chirashi sushi mix
as needed (enough for 3 rice cooker cups of rice)
Nori
as needed
Sakura Denbu
as needed
Salmon flakes
as needed

Steps

1. Mix the chirashi sushi mix into the freshly cooked rice.
2. Take out 1/4 of the rice and mix with the sakura denbu to create pink colored rice.
3. Place half of the remaining rice into a round cake pan. Use a wooden spoon to pack in.
4. Place the pink rice on top of Step 3 and pack it down tightly and evenly.
5. Place the remaining rice on the very top and pack it down tightly and evenly.
6. Cover the cake pan with a plate and flip it all over. Remove from the pan.
7. After you have designed the character using nori and salmon flakes, it's done.
