Spinach and Chikuwa with Oyster Sauce and Mayonnaise

Spinach and Chikuwa with Oyster Sauce and Mayonnaise

This dish is flavoured with oyster sauce and mayonnaise, but the seasoning is still light, so it deliciously highlights the natural sweetness of the spinach.

Ingredients: 2 servings

1 bunch
Oyster sauce
2 teaspoons
2 teaspoons
Salt and pepper
to taste
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
Roasted sesame seeds
a small amount if you have some

1. Chop the spinach into 5 cm lengths. Cut the chikuwa in half and slice into thin strips.
2. Add chikuwa and stems of the spinach in a frying pan with sesame oil, and stir-fry.
3. When the stems are slightly soft and wilted, add the leaves as well, and continue lightly stir-frying for a short while longer.
4. Add the oyster sauce and mayonnaise. Adjust the flavour with salt and pepper, and it's done.
5. Serve on a plate and sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top.
