Meat Sauce Spaghetti with Canned Tomatoes

This is a quick & easy homemade meat sauce spaghetti that brings back memories.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Meat Sauce
Ground meat (I used ground beef )
200 g
1 medium
Olive oil
1 teaspoon
to taste
to taste
Canned tomato
1 can (400 ml)
☆ Grated garlic
1/2 teaspoon
☆ Oyster sauce
2 tablespoons
☆ Sugar
1 teaspoon
☆ Nutmeg
a small amount
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Grated cheese
to taste
Fresh parsley
to taste


1. Finely mince the onion. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and sauté the onion until golden brown. Cook over high heat at first and then turn down the heat to low, sautéing the onion slowly.
2. Add the ground beef, salt and pepper to the onion from Step 1 and sauté together.
3. Add the canned tomatoes and the ☆ ingredients. Simmer until the sauce is reduced by about half. Cook it over high heat until the sauce starts to boil, then turn down heat to medium.
4. Once the sauce is reduced to about what you see in the picture, season it with salt and pepper. Remove the skillet from the heat.
5. Cook the pasta. Add a generous amount of salt to the water.
6. Serve the pasta and the meat sauce on a plate. Sprinkle the grated cheese and chopped parsley and you're done!
7. It comes in handy if you sauté the large amount of minced onion and ground meat, divide into smaller portions, and store them in the freezer for later use. Recipe ID: 1774730.
