[To prep:] Cut the satsuma-age into short sticks, place in a sieve and pour boiling water over to remove the excess oil.
Heat the sesame oil and chili pepper over low heat until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the chili peppers.
Once fragrant, add the satsuma-age. Stir-fry until light brown.
Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. It's done when the liquid is cooked out.

Satsuma-age was on sale. There's a high chance you'll find it marked down if you shop before noon. "Hira-ten" is another word for satsuma-age.
If mixing the ingredients is a hassle, simply use mentsuyu (pre-made noodle sauce) . Dilute the mentsuyu according to the directions, use 2 tablespoons of diluted mentsuyu. The sauce is slightly on the sweet side, which is what makes it delicious(!), but also high in calories... The sesame oil is a must.
