This is a very rich stew that can be made readily with canned tomatoes. The combination of tomatoes and cream is a very addictive flavor. Add any ingredients of your choice.
I make this stew often with soy milk, but made a rich variation using milk and heavy cream.
The strength of flavor will vary depending on how the stew cooks during Step 3, so adjust by adding consommé, water, or milk.It's also delicious if you substitute shrimp with chicken, cabbage, etc.
