Udon Carbonara

Udon Carbonara

Carbonara with udon noodles is also quite tasty. It doesn't need any cream, so it's easy to make.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Boiled udon
1 serving's worth
Half-strip of bacon
2-3 slices (1-1.5 rashers of regular bacon)
Shimeji mushrooms
as needed
100 ml
●Grated cheese
2 tablespoons
Olive oil
to taste
Grated garlic
2 cm's worth (tubed)
as needed (I added 3 pinches)
Coarsely ground black pepper
to taste


1. Slice the bacon into bite-sized pieces. Combine the ingredients marked ● and mix well. Coat a frying pan with olive oil and fry the garlic.
2. When the garlic has become fragrant, add and fry the bacon and mushrooms. When cooked through, add the milk and season with salt and pepper.
3. Wash the udon noodles to remove their starchiness. Strain and add to the frying pan.
4. Add the ingredients marked ● and mix until it is a suitable firmness. Transfer to a serving bowl, season with black pepper, and it's done.
