Soy Milk Dan Dan Hot Pot

Soy Milk Dan Dan Hot Pot

This is a simple and delicious yakuzen-style hot pot. If you add tree ear mushrooms, they'll boost your immune system, and give your soup some great texture!

Ingredients: 2-3 servings

Bean sprouts
1 bag
1 block
Ground pork
300 g
Enoki mushrooms
1 packet
Chinese chives
1 bunch
3 cloves
Soy milk
400 ml
Chicken soup stock granules
3 teaspoons
4 teaspoons
Oyster sauce
3 tablespoons
Ground white sesame seeds
about 60 g
2 cups (400 ml)
Sichuan peppercorns
as needed

1. Line the bottom of an earthenware pot with the enoki mushrooms, then put the tofu in the center. Scatter the bean sprouts around, add the garlic chives, and sprinkle in chicken soup stock granules.
2. Put the sesame oil in a frying pan, add the finely chopped garlic and doubanjiang, add the ground meat, add the oyster sauce, and stir-fry. Add the ground sesame seeds and water and simmer.
3. Put the stir-fried ingredients with the broth into the earthenware pot and pour in the soy milk, cover with a lid, and turn on the heat. Add the Sichuan peppercorns to each bowl when eating. To finish, add some Chinese noodles for dan dan noodles!

Story Behind this Recipe

This is my family's version of a dish we saw in a magazine. We made it our own with bean sprouts.
