Almost No Calories: Konnyaku Steak

This is a great dish for dieters. Konnyaku has almost no calories and is packed with vitamins and minerals.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Konnyaku
1 block
Yakiniku sauce
as needed
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
Katakuriko
a small amount

Steps

1. Score one side of the konnyaku with a lattice pattern with small squares about 1.5 cm on each side.
2. Boil the konnyaku for 3 minutes. Drain into a colander.
3. Coat the side of the konnyaku that's not scored with katakuriko.
4. Heat up some vegetable oil in a frying pan, and pan-fry the konnyaku until browned on both sides.
5. Turn down the heat add the yakiniku sauce to the pan, coat the konnyaku and it's done.
