Easy Paella on an Electric Griddle

Easy Paella on an Electric Griddle

This is a super quick paella using ingredients that are easy to obtain. It's good for parties, too.

Ingredients: 3 rice cooker cups' worth

White rice
3 rice cooker cups (540 ml)
700 ml
Consommé soup stock
2 cubes
a pinch (0.25 g)
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Ingredients (as you like)
Asari (Manila clams)
200 g
Chicken breast meat
150 g
Red pepper, yellow pepper
1/4 each
Wiener sausages
2 slices

1. -De-sand the clams in advance. -Cut the chicken into bite-sizes. -Peel the squid and slice into rounds. -Keeping the shrimp shells intact, put a slit in the back and devein.
2. Cut the tomato into 1 cm cubes, and mince the bacon and onion.
3. Add consommé and saffron into 700 ml of hot water.
4. In a preheated electric griddle at 200℃, add olive oil, and saute the onion and bacon. Once they're cooked through, add the chicken.
5. Once the surface of the chicken changes color (it doesn't need to cooked through), stir in the rice and cook until translucent.
6. Pour in all the soup from Step 3.
7. Arrange the ingredients of your choice, and once it starts to boil, cover and reduce the heat to 160℃.
8. After 5 minutes, turn the heat to the warm setting. (There's still some soup left at this point.)
9. After 15 minutes, it's done! (If the rice is still firm at this point, add some water and reheat.)

Story Behind this Recipe

I made it first with my husband, and after much trial and error, I finally came up with this recipe.
