Mix all ingredients and stir until sugar and salt dissolve.
Pour cooked rice and mix with cutting motion.
We often make onigiri (rice ball) with this. And add umeboshi (pickled plum), takuan (pickled Japanese radish), okaka (bonito flakes moistened with soy sauce) or mix tuna and mayonnaise in the middle.
