Frozen Kakiage Fritters for your Bento

Frozen Kakiage Fritters for your Bento

I made a large batch of my mother-in-law's vegetable kakiage fritters (Recipe ID: 1684951) and pack them in a bento. They're great to serve at breakfast too.

"Vegetable Kakiage Fritters" (Recipe ID: 1684951)

1/2 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon

1. Toast frozen kakiage or tempura for 2-3 minutes. It's prone to scorching, so keep an eye on it.
2. Cook Step 1 in a frying-pan (without oil). Once both sides are crisp, drizzle in the combined ☆ ingredients, turn off the heat, coat well, and it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

A friend informed me that frozen tempura is great for bento-making, and I've been following her tip every since.
The sauce is really simple, and can easily be whipped up on busy mornings.
