Easy Simmered Yellowtail

This is a recipe for simmered yellowtail.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Yellowtail filets
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
2 tablespoons
1 teaspoon
1/2 cups to 2 cups


1. Pour hot water over the fish or dip the fish in a pot of boiling water.
2. If the fish turns white, it's ready.
3. Pour all the ingredients and water into a pot and turn on the heat.
4. When it comes to a boil, add the fish and cover with a drop lid (otoshibuta). Simmer in medium heat until the sauce reduces by 1/2 to 1/3.
5. Remove the lid and pour the sauce over the fish with a ladle. Simmer in low heat for 1 to 2 minutes.
6. When the fish turns shiny, it's done.
