Prepare a rice ball with your preferred filling inside.
Facial features: Ham for the hearts, nori seaweed for the eyes and mouth, and ketchup for the cheeks.
These are the tools I used I cut the ham by hand in the top picture.
Place these hearts on top of your onigiri rice balls, and you're done.

This is a bento that you can make easily.
Please substitute any of the ingredients with what you have on hand. You can place slices of cheese underneath the slices of ham in order to give them a more opaque look. That will make nice pink hearts. Spread a small amount of mayonnaise to glue the ham onto your rice balls or use a pick to secure it... Place them on rice balls or on top of noriben (rice covered with a layer of seasoned nori seaweed)
