Easy Tofu and Ground Meat Fried Meatballs

You don't need to drain the tofu!
It's very easy to make.
It's perfect as a bento dish. Try eating it as a snack with beer!

Ingredients: Roughly 15-18 meatballs

Ground chicken meat
200 g
Firm tofu (undrained)
200 g
Salt
1/4 teaspoon
Pepper
A small amount
Soup stock granules
1 teaspoon
Katakuriko
1 tablespoon
Grated cheese (optional)
1 tablespoon
◆ Frying oil
As needed

Steps

1. Add all the ingredients except the frying oil together into a bowl and use your hands to mix well.
2. Heat oil in a pan to 170°C and drop each meatball into the oil with a spoon. Fry until they are a light brown color (about 5 minutes).
3. Alternative version: If you add re-hydrated and drained hijiki you can make a ganmo-style version. This is also soft and delicious.
