Simple Bread

An extremely simple, basic bread dough.

Ingredients: serves 5 to 6

Dry yeast
2 teaspoons
3 and 1/2 tablespoons
Strong bread flour
400 g
1 teaspoon
Margarine (or butter)
40 g
240 ml
Egg (for the finish)


1. Put the ingredients in your bread maker in order. Complete the first rising.
2. Separate into 50 g pieces.
3. Make into nice round shapes.
4. Cover with a damp cloth and let sit for 10 minutes.
5. Make into shapes (this time I made round rolls and mini loaves) and complete the second rising in the oven at 35℃ for 35 to 40 minutes.
6. Put the egg through a strainer and set aside.
7. Use a brush to apply the egg, and bake in the oven at 200℃ for 15 to 20 minutes.
8. Allow to cool on a grate, and they're complete.
9. I added lettuce and a beef patty to make a simple hamburger.
10. Top: Lettuce and a wiener sausage for a hot dog. Bottom: I mixed margarine, sugar, and condensed milk together and sandwiched it to give it a milky French bread style.
