Kinako, Cocoa & Coffee Mochi in the Microwave Like It's Freshly Pounded

Kinako, Cocoa & Coffee Mochi in the Microwave Like It's Freshly Pounded

You get a really interesting result from combining kinako, cocoa and coffee.
A wonderful flavour, like Shingen Mochi, without the need for kuromitsu brown sugar syrup.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Mochi cut into rectangles
4
●Kinako
5 rounded tablespoons
●Cocoa powder (with sugar)
2 tablespoons
●Coffee
1/3-1/2 teaspoon
●Sugar
about 1 tablespoon
Water
a small amount
Plastic wrap
2 sheets the size of your plate

Steps

1. Prepare the ingredients. Mix the ● ingredients together. #Use rounded tablespoons of kinako.
2. Line your plate with plastic wrap. Place the mochi on top and pour 2 tablespoons of water over them.
3. Microwave for about 1 minute 10 seconds at 600 W. Turn the mochi over and heat for another 10-20 seconds.
4. Throw away half of the water left on the plate, and coat the mochi in the mixture from Step 1. I recommend sprinkling on even more of the mixture on top. You can also add water at this stage.
5. This is what it looks like when it's finished.
6. Just throw away the plastic wrap after eating. This way, you won't need to do much washing. Cleaning up is a piece of cake.

Story Behind this Recipe

I bought kinako because I wanted to eat something sweet.
I used an idea from Recipe ID: 1636947, which is a hot drink made with hot milk, cocoa and coffee. I thought I would add kinako to it and make a snack.
