Tender Even When Cold! Spicy Pan Fried Pork with Miso

If you add doubanjiang to standard "Pan Fried Pork with Sweet Miso" the flavor becomes well defined and delicious.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Thinly sliced pork for making ginger pork
400g
Miso
2 tablespoons
Doubanjiang
1 teaspoon
Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
●Sugar
2 tablespoons
●Sake
2 tablespoons
Oil
for frying

Steps

1. Rub sugar and sake into the pork, and let the pork soak up the liquid.
2. After the flavors have melded, rub in the miso, soy sauce, and doubanjiang.
3. Fry in a frying pan coated with oil.
4. This is great for dinner of course, and is also delicious in bentos.

Story Behind this Recipe

Frying thinly sliced pork with ginger is the norm (but my family's ginger pork is not sweet), but in order to change things up, I added doubanjiang to fried sweet pork and miso.
