Curry Flavored Deep Fried Cheese-Stuffed Chikuwa Fish Sticks

I stuffed chikuwa fish sticks with cheese and deep fried it with a curry-flavored batter. I cut 2 sticks into bite-sized pieces. Put them into bento or eat as a drinking snack.

Ingredients: 2 chikuwa sticks

Chikuwa
2
Cheese (sliced)
1-2 slices
Tempura flour
2 tablespoons
Water
1 1/2 tablespoons
Curry powder
1/4 teaspoon
Krazy Salt (salt and pepper mix)
To taste
Parsley
to garnish
Frying oil
as needed

Steps

1. Cut the cheese into approximate strips. Cut the chikuwa in half, and stuff in the cheese. Cut the chikuwa in half again.
2. Mix together the tempura flour, water, curry powder roux, and Krazy Salt (3-4 shakes). Roll the chikuwa for step 1 around in the mixture, and quickly fry up in oil over medium to strong heat.
