This is a very mild gochujan (spicy Korean pepper paste) that can be eaten as-is over rice.
I use gochujang quite a lot in cooking, so I wanted to try making my own. I adapted the formula for my own needs.
Adjust the amount of sugar and chili pepper powder to taste. If you like spicy food, you could just use ichimi spice. Store this in the refrigerator for about 3 months.
