Agedashi Tofu (Fried Tofu)

Agedashi Tofu (Fried Tofu)

You can make an easy and delicious agedashi tofu dish with a drizzle of mentsuyu. Deep frying is a pain, so I made these in a frying pan.

Ingredients: 2 servings

250 g
as needed
Mentsuyu (2x concentrate)
as needed
Green onions, grated garlic, shiso leaves, etc

1. Cut the tofu into 4-5 cm chunks and drain the water.
2. Place the katakuriko and the tofu block from Step 1 into a plastic bag and shake to coat.
3. Heat a good amount of oil in a frying pan and fry all sides of the tofu from Step 2.
4. Once all the sides are fried and crispy, set on a paper towel to drain.
5. Once drained, transfer to plates, pour on some mentsuyu, and enjoy. Season them as you'd like.
