Easy! Christmas Tree Cupcakes

These are easy cupcakes with a seasonal touch. They're perfect for Christmas parties.
Kids will love them.

Ingredients: 24 mini cupcakes, icing for 12 regular cupcakes

24 Mini Cupcakes
White flour
90 g
Butter
40 g
Sugar
60 g
Egg
1
Milk
50 ml
Baking powder
1 scant teaspoon
Salt
A tiny amount
Icing and decoration for 12 cupcakes
Heavy cream
200 ml
Sugar
30 g
Matcha
2 teaspoons
Or store-bought matcha latte mix

◇Note◇ if using matcha latte mix
it contains about 15 g sugar
Dragées (metallic decorative balls)
as needed

Steps

1. ◆For the batter◆ Bring the eggs and milk to room temperature.
2. Soften the butter in a microwave (30-40 seconds on 600 W). Preheat the oven to 340°F/170°C.
3. Mix sugar with the softened butter. When combined, add the eggs and salt. Mix again.
4. Add milk and continue to mix.
5. Add flour and baking powder in 3 batches, blending well after each time. Mix until smooth.
6. Use two spoons to scoop the mixture and place into the mini cupcake tin.
7. Bake for 17-20 minutes at 340°F/170°C until it's done.
8. Chill the cream very well, then beat with the matcha and sugar.
9. Beat until very stiff peaks form.
10. Transfer into a pastry bag.
11. Pipe out in a circular motion like making a soft-serve ice cream cone.
12. Decorative with dragées and it's done.
