Until the combined weight of ☆ is 200 g (About 155 g)
Margarine or butter
Milk or soymilk
(Honey or maple syrup)
as needed, 1 scant teaspoon
Put the sugar in a bowl. Add the baking powder and salt.
Add enough flour to bring the total weight to 200 g.
Add the kinako and mix.
Add the margarine and mix in a cutting motion with a rubber spatula or dough scraper (the dough will become crumbly.)
Add the milk and mix some more.
Add the honey, and bring the dough together.
Preheat the oven to 200℃.
Roll out into a 1.5 - 2 cm thick circle, and cut into 6 - 8 pieces.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper, and bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
Keep an eye on them, and bake for longer if necessary. If it looks like they are going to burn, cover with foil and reduce the temperature.
They're done. The aroma of kinako is amazing!

I've become obsessed with kinako lately, and wondered if I could make something simple with it. I love kinako and scones.
This time I used half butter/half margarine, and half milk/half soy milk! If you are using pancake mix, combine 200 g of it with the kinako and start at Step 4. If you prefer it sweeter, add more sugar than listed.
