Crab Stick, Cabbage and Egg Stir-Fry

Crab Stick, Cabbage and Egg Stir-Fry

Soft, fluffy and slightly sweet egg, sweet cooked cabbage, plus the umami of crabsticks - together it's so good!

Ingredients: 2 to 4 servings

Imitation crab sticks
120 to 150 g
★ Eggs
★ Sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons
★ Salt and pepper
To taste
● Chicken soup stock granules, sake
1 tablespoon each

1. Mix the ★ together. Cut up the cabbage roughly. Shred apart the crab sticks with your hands.
2. Heat a generous amount of oil in a frying pan, and cook the beaten egg using a spatula until soft and fluffy. Take the egg out of the pan.
3. Add the crab sticks and cabbage to the same frying pan, and stir-fry.
4. When the cabbage has wilted, add the cooked egg back to the pan and stir fry while breaking it up. Season with salt and pepper and it's done.
5. Transfer to a serving plate. It's delicious drizzled with a little sesame oil. You can add some coarsely ground black pepper too.

Story Behind this Recipe

My mother used to make a similar crab stick and cabbage stir-fry which was delicious, so I tried re-creating it.
