Heat a frying pan with olive oil, fry the thinly sliced garlic, take them out when golden brown. Put the salt and peppered steak into the pan.
Place the mesclun and mixed watercress on a plate.
The steak should be cooked just 2 and a half minutes on one side, and turned over to cook a further 2 and a half minutes on the other side until golden brown. Add the A seasoning ingredients with the meat juice to make the sauce.
Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes, and serve on the plate from Step 2. Put the garlic on top. If you'd like, have wasabi with the sauce made in Step 3.
Story Behind this Recipe
This is a dish I often make whenever I see steak on sale at the supermarket. Eating in this way like a salad, it's healthy and light.
-Use home produced steak, and cook to medium rare. -Quickly combine the sauce in Step 3. Avoid boiling it down too much!
