Meat Wrapped Green Beans and Carrots

Meat Wrapped Green Beans and Carrots

This is a tasty dish of pork slices wrapped around green beans and carrots. The ingredients are simple, but it goes really well with the sweet and salty teriyaki sauce.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Thinly sliced pork loin
12 slices ( around 200 g)
Green beans
The seasoning ingredients:
Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
Sake, mirin and sugar
2 tablespoon each
1 tablespoon

1. Boil the green beans and the thinly sliced carrots for around 4-5 minutes. Drain well.
2. Spread 6 pork slices so that it overlaps. Lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper.
3. Place half of the cooked vegetables on the meat near the front.
4. Roll up the vegetable tightly in the meat. Make another one off these rolls.
5. Mix the seasoning ingredients.
6. Spread oil on a heated frying pan. Place the rolls joint down and cook all sides.
7. Once golden brown, add the flavouring ingredients and simmer over medium heat until glossy, whilst talking care not to burn it.
8. Cut the rolls in to 3-4 cm slices and place on a serving plate. Pour the left over sauce on and you're done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I received lots of green beans so I made this dish using ingredients I had at home.
