Umami-Rich Fluffy Dashimaki Tamago With Crabsticks and Mentsuyu Sauce

The umami of the crabsticks and mentsuyu sauce permeates the egg mixture, resulting in a fluffy dashimaki tamago (rolled omelette with dashi stock) with a difference! My wife asked me to make it for her again.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Eggs
2
Crabsticks
2 (18 g)
Mentsuyu
1 tablespoon
Water
1 tablespoon
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Chop up the crabsticks roughly.
2. Put the eggs, chopped up crabsticks, mentsuyu sauce and water into a bowl and mix well to make the egg mixture.
3. Heat the oil in a frying pan over low-medium heat. Add the egg mixture from Step 2 and cook.
4. Neaten up the omelette, lighty brown both sides and turn off the heat. Cut into easy-to-eat pieces, transfer to serving plates and it's done!
