Cute Round Kabocha Squash Croquettes

These little croquettes are great in bentos. The dense fluffy texture is irresistible! In our family, we leave the skin of the kabocha squash in these croquettes.

Ingredients

Kabocha squash
1/2
Sugar
1 tablespoon
Salt and pepper
as needed
Butter
20g
Egg
as needed
Panko
as needed
Flour
as needed

Steps

1. Cut the kabocha squash into small pieces and microwave them until soft.
2. When they're soft, mash with a fork. Add butter, sugar, salt and pepper while it's hot and mix.
3. Shape the mixture to your liking. Coat the croquette balls with flour, eggs, and panko in this order.
4. Deep-fry the them in 180 degrees oil until they turn brown. Done1
