Cabbage Rice Balls

The crunchiness of boiled cabbage is addictive! This is a rice ball recipe seasoned with sesame seeds.

Ingredients: 3 small rice balls

Freshly cooked rice
Around 2 bowls worth
Cabbage
1/8 - 1/10 (as you like)
☆ Salt
1/2 teaspoon
☆ Sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon
☆ Sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
☆ Soy sauce
A few drops

Steps

1. Boil cabbage and rinse in water to cool. Squeeze out excess water and julienne into 5 mm.
2. In a bowl, toss the cabbage and the ☆ ingredients.
3. Mix with the cooked rice and shape into triangles.

Story Behind this Recipe

When making three bentos, I often add salted cabbage stir-fry. Cabbage and rice go really well together, so I think boiled cabbage is also yummy.
