Basic Cocoa Muffins

You'll taste the delicious cocoa flavor in these fluffy muffins.

Ingredients: 4-6 muffin cups

50 g
45 g
★Cake flour
80 g
★Cocoa (Van Houten pure cocoa)
15 g
★Baking powder
1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
Vanilla extract (optional)
as needed


1. Mix the room temperature butter and sugar together with a whisk. It will have a cream-like consistency.
2. Add the beaten egg in three batches and mix well. Add milk. If you are adding vanilla extract, do so here.
3. Combine and sift the ingredients marked ★. Add to the bowl from Step 2.
4. Mix well with a rubber spatula and pour the batter into muffin cups. Smooth out the surface with a spoon.
5. Bake for 15-20 minutes in an oven preheated to 180°C. When a skewer poked through the middle comes out clean, they're done.
