Tasty Fried Pacific Saury

It's great for kids even for those who don't like fish.
I made fish into karaage that kids love.
Of course, this is perfect for adults too.


Pacific saury
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
★Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Grated ginger (tubed is OK)
2-3 cm (about 1/2 teaspoon)
as needed


1. Fillet the fish and cut into pieces of your preferred size. I cut each fillet into 3 pieces. Place the fish into a plastic bag.
2. Add ★ marked ingredients into the plastic bag and coat the fish and marinate for 20~30 minutes. The flavor will be stronger when marinated for 30 minutes.
3. Dredge the fish pieces in katakuriko, shake off the excess and deep fry until crunchy and golden brown .

I bought lots of Pacific saury cheaply. I was tired of plum simmered or grilled Pacific saury so I made it into Karaage, which kids love.
