Tofu Omurice for Dieters

I'm on a diet, but I still want something filing! But then again, I want to avoid carbohydrates... Don't worry! Let's have some tasty tofu omurice-

Ingredients: 1 serving

Firm tofu
1 block
Omurice filling (onion, carrot, bell peppers, chicken... anything you usually use)
as you like
a small amount
Seasoning (ketchup, salt, pepper... your usual seasoning)
as you like


1. Line a heatproof container with a paper towel. Place the firm tofu inside and microwave (6 minutes at 500 W) to drain out the excess water. Take the tofu out and let cool.
2. When the tofu has cooled down, transfer it into a different container and mash it up.
3. Make omurice as usual. *Use the mashed up tofu instead of rice. As you stir-fry, break down any large pieces of tofu.
4. To improve the fragrance, use some butter to cook the eggs to place on top. Prepare soft-set eggs for best results.
