Small Sweet Potato Bites

These are bite-sized snacks with a wonderful aroma.

Ingredients: About 20

Sweet potato
250 g
Unsalted cultured butter
15 g
Heavy cream
2 tablespoons
Granulated sugar
2 tablespoons
Condensed milk
1 tablespoon
Black sesame seeds
1 tablespoon
Egg yolk
Vanilla extract
2, 3 drops


1. Steam the sweet potato (microwave or boil, either is OK).
2. Smash the steamed sweet potato. Add the butter, granulated sugar, heavy cream, condensed milk, and egg yolk and mix well. Then add the vanilla extract.
3. If you're making the black sesame and plain version, first put half of the plain portion in a pastry bag.
4. Add black sesame to the remaining half.
5. Squeeze on a baking sheet and bake at 200℃ for 20 minutes. Please adjust the time according to your microwave.
6. And they're complete. The plain version is in the forefront (3 to 4 cm in diameter).
7. And here's the black sesame (3 to 4 cm in diameter).
8. Plain topped with black sesame. These are a little big (diameter of 5 cm).
9. I made them with orange yams too. The sweetness and color were very rich.

Story Behind this Recipe

I had sweet potatoes left over from last week and wanted to use them up aside from making side dishes.
I was looking for something bite-sized I could have with tea.
